Does SiØ have general insurance for my private belongings?

No, SiØ only insures the building complex. You are responsible for insuring your personal belongings through a private home insurance.

How can I get Storage Space?

Halden:
Visit us at the housing office in the Tower or contact us via email siost@hiof.no, and we will give you access to a vacant storage space if teher are any available.
Buildings A and B have open storage spaces on each floor.

Fredrikstad:
Visit "servicebygget" or send an email to siost@hiof.no, and we will give you access to a vacant storage space if teher are any available.

Do the units have a laundry?

Yes, all of our units are attached to a communal laundry.

We use the same app in Fredrikstad and Halden: https://appwash.com/no

Bjølstad:

The laudry is located on the first floor of Bjølstad 5.
You need to register in Appwash to get access to the laundy.

Halden:

The laudy is located in the basement between building C and D and on the first floor of the Tower.
You need to register in Appwash to get access to the laundy.

Stadion:

The laudy is located in house number 15, right of 15A.
Use your key card to enter.
Use the machines as normal.

Can you smoke in the units?

No, smoking is not permitted in any of our student housing or on the housing area.

Do the units have cable TV?

Remmen og Bjølstad IV and V have a TV screen in the collectives.
Unfortunately we do not have cable TV in our units.

What should I do if I’m being bothered by a lot of noise?

Contact Securitas on +47 907 84 853 if talking to the person responsible does not help. Remember to tell them where you are calling from.

Who should I contact to get access to the gym in the Tower?

The housing office. You will find it at the main entrance of the Tower. You can also email siost@hiof.no
The fitness room is reserved for residents at SiØ's housing.
