The laundry is in Building 15, right of 15A.

• Use your key card to enter.
• Use the machines as normal.
• The laundry works on a ‘first come, first served’ basis and you don’t need a laundry card or to book times. 
• The laundry has three small washing machines, as well as two large ones and two tumble dryers.
• You need to bring your own detergent.

Do not start washing machines after 22:00. The flats above and next to the laundry have thin walls.

Remember to pick up your laundry as soon as it’s finished so you don’t block machines for others. Time the machine.

You will find your letterbox on the end wall of Building 15. There is one letterbox for each shared unit.

NB! When you notify the post office of your change of address, it is important to include your unit number.
You must also always use your unit number when you order things that will arrive as parcels. Remember to change your address in your eBay, Nelly, etc. profile.

The fire alarm is not directly connected to the fire department.
If the alarm rings, find out if it is actually burning and call 110 in case of fire.
Follow the fire instructions.

If there is an unwanted alarm, then you need to go down to the laundry room to reset the fire alarms. You will find instructions on this at the fire panel. When the bells are silent, contact us so we can come and reset the panel.

Søppel/avfall
Rubbish must not be stored in the corridors at any time. If you intend to take your rubbish with you when you go out, leave it standing in your room until you actually leave.

Rubbish must be disposed of in containers. The containers can be found under the terrace between Buildings 13 and 15.
Paper and cardboard must be disposed of in the rubbish room, which is across the way from the letterboxes.

Ukentlig vaskesjekk

• Den ukentlige vasken skal bestå av:
• Tømme søppel (skal selvsagt gjøres kontinuerlig)
• Gulv
• Kjøkkenbenker og skap
• Komfyrer og platetopper
• Kjøkkenvask og kraner
• Generelt ryddes i området
• Vi anbefaler at dere i kollektivet snakker sammen og lager de rutinene dere ønsker å ha. Dette bidrar til et rent og godt bomiljø.
• Vi sjekker ikke enkletter eller parleiligheter.

Semestervask
..gjøres en gang i semesteret. I høstsemesteret vil denne sjekken gjennomføres i november, og på vårsemesteret i mai (før 17-mai).

Det blir utdelt lister fra SiØ med oppgaver til hvert rom. Du er ansvarlig for den oppgaven som er tildelt ditt rom.  Dere må gjerne bytte oppgave internt, men du er uansett ansvarlig for tildelt oppgave.

Vaskeutstyr
SiØ setter ut startpakker i kollektiv. Dette inkluderer:

• Moppestativ
• Bøtter
• Kluter
• Noe såpe

Såpe og kluter blir ikke etterfylt, dette er beboers ansvar å anskaffe. Startpakkene er ment som starthjelp ved innflytting i august.

Hvis det ikke er sentralstøvsuger der du bor, og du ønsker støvsuger, så må du selv ta med dette (det er sentralstøvsuger på Nye Remmen og Bjølstad 4).

Ved utflytting skal hele hybelen vaskes ut og det skal alltid meldes om tid for vaskesjekk. Dette kan du melde til siost@hiof.no

Storing garbage in the hallways is not permitted at any time.
If you plan to take your garbage out on your way out, keep it in your room until you leave.

Garbage and cardboard must be disposed of in the designated containers. The containers are located under the stands between Houses 13 and 15. Food waste should be placed in special bags and thrown in the general waste. Food waste bags can be collected free of charge at the reception in the Tower.
Electronic waste can be delivered free of charge to Elkjøp at Tistasenteret.

Fretex accepts all types of textiles, such as clothes, shoes, bags, belts, towels, curtains, and bed linen. Even worn or damaged textiles can be recycled and used for material recovery, for example for insulation, carpets, cleaning cloths, or redesigned products.

The most important thing you as a private individual can do for the environment is to reduce the amount of waste you produce and ensure that what you throw away is recycled.
Consider whether you really need to buy something new, whether it can be repaired, or whether you can buy it second-hand. Can it be donated to an organization or similar?
Do not litter.
Sort all the waste you dispose of.
